OUR PROGRAM TAILORED FOR YOUR STUDENTS

Every school community is different. That's why MindED combines evidence-informed curriculum themes with flexible delivery that reflects the unique strengths, challenges and priorities of your students.

  • No two schools are the same. We work alongside school leaders and wellbeing staff to understand the needs of your students and tailor delivery accordingly.
  • We support the people who support young people. Teachers and school staff play a vital role in student wellbeing. MindED provides an additional layer of support through lived experience, practical mental health education and flexible delivery that complements the important work already happening within schools.
  • Flexible Learning Environments - our programs are adaptable for alternative learning environments.
  • While every delivery is tailored, our core curriculum remains consistent against Department outcomes, focusing on belonging, healthy habits, self-esteem, self-care and help-seeking behaviours.

COMMUNITY PARTNER IMPACT HEADSPACE NOWRA

A Deeply Inspiring Collaboration

We are delighted to extend our heartfelt thanks to Greg Inglis, Kennedy Cherrington, and Zack Jenetsky and the Goanna Academy team for their exceptional collaboration with Headspace Nowra.

Your partnership has made a significant impact on our service and, more importantly, on the young people we serve.

The powerful stories shared by the ambassadors have been profoundly inspiring and have resonated deeply with the students. These personal experiences have not only fostered a strong connection but have also provided invaluable insights and support during the workshops.

We also want to express our gratitude for the thoughtful approach you take in tailoring each workshop to meet the specific needs for each school.

This level of customisation demonstrates your commitment to delivering relevant and meaningful content, which has greatly enhanced the effectiveness of engaging with our local schools.

We are pleased to report that, as a direct result of your programs, so far four students have reached out for counseling, and five students have sought work and study support.

This is a testament to the positive influence of your workshops and the meaningful connections and rapport we have been able to build with our local schools, and their students.

Thank you for your dedication, passion, and the positive difference you are making in the lives of young people. We look forward to continuing this impactful collaboration.

SINCERELY,

Headspace Nowra Team

We are proud and privileged to have our home on this land, and to be able to continue the long tradition of community coming together around food, begun thousands of years ago by First Nations peoples. As we stand together on this unceded land, we acknowledge that our First Nations people are the original custodians of this land and we recognise their deep connection to land, water, sky, and community which continues today. We pay our deep respects to community elders, past, present, and emerging, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture, and the hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
