"Bringing The Goanna Academy to our small country town was an incredible experience. With rugby league being such a major sport in Narrandera and the surrounding areas, it was a no-brainer to collaborate with the team at The Goanna Academy.

The event catered for everyone, from young people as young as six years old through to adults, and it was fantastic to see so many members of our community getting involved. The team at The Goanna Academy were amazing to work with—professional, passionate, and truly committed to making a difference.

If you have the opportunity to collaborate with The Goanna Academy, I highly recommend you do. It was a brilliant day that left a lasting impact on our town, and we are grateful for the experience.

On behalf of the Narrandera Shire Youth Council and the Narrandera Senior Lizards"

We are proud and privileged to have our home on this land, and to be able to continue the long tradition of community coming together around food, begun thousands of years ago by First Nations peoples. As we stand together on this unceded land, we acknowledge that our First Nations people are the original custodians of this land and we recognise their deep connection to land, water, sky, and community which continues today. We pay our deep respects to community elders, past, present, and emerging, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture, and the hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
